Sport Premium funding for primary schools is aimed at sustainably improving the provision of physical education and sport in primary schools in addition to he developments of active, healthy lifestyles in all children.
Over the previous two years the funding has been increased and each school now receives £16000 plus £10 per pupil. Here at Dronfield Infant School this comes to approximately £18600 for 2018-19 and is expected to be similar for 2019-20.
Through this funding the pupils at Dronfield Infant School are offered a wide range of sporting opportunities in addition to opportunities to engage in active and healthy lifestyles throughout the year. We work with the Partnership of Dronfield Schools (PODS) and the Qualitas Dronfield & Eckington Cluster Sports Partnership to coordinate a range of local competitions and events for our pupils in all year groups.
